The Holiday
The winter season is full of many holidays for various traditions. As people internationally celebrate these holidays, so do Kemetyw (Kemetic practitioners).
Celebrated on the Winter solstice (December 21st), Web En Djed observes the raising of the Djed Pillar, also called the backbone of Ausar. The Djed Pillar represents stability in times of uncertainty, and the need to stand tall on a strong and secure foundation. Raising it affirms that we are firmly established in our culture, values, and beliefs.
